My Life-Changing Trajectories:

In my childhood, I dreamed of serving in the US military as a jet pilot. Unfortunately, I did not have the eyesight needed to fly. I chose a different, initial trajectory for my life. Instead of in the air, I served on the ground in the U.S. Army. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and then served several years as a U.S. Army Field Artillery officer. This trajectory challenged me to grow and develop my essential leadership skills, moral character, and professional ethics. Exposure to different cultures in places like Kosovo, Panama, South Korea, and Iraq, broadened my worldview and confirmed the fundamental truths of President John F. Kennedy’s words: “…we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.”

Towards the end of my military service, I wondered what it might be like if I sought a new challenge working in the corporate world. Having earned my MBA from the University of Notre Dame, I set out on a new trajectory - a career path over the next 16 years that was neither straightforward nor traditional. I proved adaptable and successful in roles of increasing responsibility in multiple industries at companies such as ABC News, BAE Systems, Carbon Black / VMware / Broadcom.

During my time in the corporate world, I asked myself, “In my next role, how can I focus on the thing that I find most fulfilling – helping others?” I now leverage the experience of my previous trajectories in my current one as a certified coach. I collaborate with professionals to work through their most pivotal career and corporate challenges. I’ve coached dozens of clients across multiple continents.
