Mike Igoe is a certified coaching professional who leverages his unique experience, training, and skills to partner with you to identify and overcome the obstacles blocking your path to goal achievement.

Mike experienced three significant changes in his life’s trajectory that inform his coaching and how he serves his clients:

  1. After graduating high school, he sought a life filled with service to others, so he made his first trajectory changeby attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and becoming a U.S. Army officer.

  2. Towards the end of his military service, Mike explored what a different career trajectory could mean for his life. So, he made a second trajectory change, from military service to the corporate world.

  3. After earning a MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and successfully serving in roles of increasing responsibility at ABC News, BAE Systems, and Carbon Black / VMware / Broadcom, he wondered how could he better serve others in a direct, focused, and impactful manner? The answer was his third trajectory change, where he transitioned from corporate manager to executive coach.

Today, he brings his unique experience, training, and skills to help others. Whether you're looking to gain confidence and resolve, explore new possibilities for personal growth, or develop professional excellence, he's here to help you identify and follow your unique trajectory.

The First Step

We start with a 30 minute complimentary discovery call. All coaching sessions are conducted virtually, making it easy to work together regardless of where you're located.

We begin by identifying the outcome you want to achieve and the challenges to achieving it. Your desired outcome could be a vision of your future or a specific goal.

This conversation helps us determine the best path forward, ensuring our coaching aligns with your needs and aspirations. It’s an opportunity to discuss purpose, scope, and fit—so you can gain clarity and confidence in your next steps.

Coach Mike strongly advocates for the power of networks and networking and the value they provide clients. As the saying goes, "Your network is your net-worth."

In that sense, he has a rich and diversified portfolio that he can leverage to support his clients.

  • His core network consists of fellow West Point graduates. Though relatively small in number, this influential network is augmented by alumni of the fellow service academies (U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy). Coach Mike's volunteer work mentoring Naval Academy alumni through the Blue Magnet community has actively grown the quality of his connections especially within that group.

  • Graduate school at The University of Notre Dame has brought similar geographic diversity as the service academies while adding significantly more quantity overall.

  • Locally in Boston, since 2016, Coach Mike has participated in the New England Veterans Gathering - a (near) monthly networking event for veterans of all backgrounds - first as a participant and more recently as a co-manager of the event. As the distribution list manager, Coach Mike has the opportunity to connect with the over 1,400 members on the list throughout the year.

  • Through volunteer work at FourBlock, he has connected with top employers in the Greater Boston area - specifically their Talent Acquisition professionals - and built strong relationships with them over time.

  • Coach Mike spent nearly a decade in IT and cybersecurity prior to becoming an ICF-certified coach and has kept up with many of his former colleagues who continue to do incredible work in that industry.

“Mike, helped me narrow my job search focus, and polish up my resume and interviewing skills. He also has a great network of contacts that were willing to speak with me about industries I was interested in. All of this allowed me hone in on the role that was a the best fit for me and feel prepared for the interview process. I would absolutely recommend Mike as a coach!”
